Info about Xandra van Rossem: Xandra van Rossem grew up in a musical and artistic environment and as a little girl she sings with her favorite examples as Billy Holiday Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn. Her father, Hans van Rossem was a Jazz musician and he accompanied artists as Rita Reys, Pia Beck and Toon Hermans. He recognizes his daughters talent and introduces her in the Dutch Jazzscene. By together acting with her father Xandra sings already professional at the club circuit by the age of fourteen. In 1988 Xandra studies at the Dutch Concervatorium and gets lesson from the known American song instructor Eileen Fisch. Still a teenager and works with great musicians as: Wim Overgaauw, Harry Verbeke and Eddy Conard but also with upcomming talents: Tony Overwater, Mike del Ferro and Carlo de Wijs. In 1995 she started her own group of 'Xandra’s Jazzset' and brings her first cd 'Easy Listening' out. As a result of a live concert for the radioprogram, 'Jazz Actua' the Concertsender the Netherlands and a second cd titled 'Live' follows. In 2003 she promoted her cd 'Feeling Free' with on her own written lyrics together with her quartet. She sings mainly traditional Jazz and standards from the 'Great American Songbook'. 'I love mainstream’, she says concerned. They are well known standards as forgotten songs. Her improvisation talent makes her actions quite spontaneous. Through her large musical talent and fantastic timing, she just easy sings mainstream, blues and beautiful ballads, everything sounds naturally. Dutch reviewer Jan Rensen wrote: 'From the first moment I heard Xandra singing it became clear that the Jazz blood runs through her veins, as a result of an live action. 'She has so much grip on the idioom that is obvious. Therefore she stands above the songs that she sings; she has the leadership and the songs become subordinate. With that skill each repertoire becomes more personal'. Xandra was in various radio programs at broadcasting stations, live to listen to on the concertsender in the Netherlands in the program ‘Jazz Actua’, and many interviews for newspapers and magazines. Xandra of Rossem has reached on very young age 23 years of stage experience on her name, she is an excellent performer and artist. She knows how to involve and interact with her public on spontaneous manner by her musical interpretations. She worked with the most various formations and artists: Saskia Laroo, Artists collective 'the Tube', Dj Manu, Jazzalike bigband, Harry Verbeke, Gerard Klein, Clous van Mechellen, Ellen Helmus and Eddy Conard. Xandra performes mainly in Jazzcubs, theater and Jazz festivals, live performing and singing at completely own manner; 'it is not only the warm timbre in her voice, but the expression when she performes on stage it's 'captivating'

Driftige, spontane lijnen,pijlen en punten etc. geven zijn werk een dynamiek die het chaos net is ontweken. De grens tussen voorstelling en abstractie kan hier soms in gevaar komen. In alle gevallen moet hij op eigen vaardigheden, inspiratie, beslissingen en oplossingen blijven vertrouwen om zijn weg van orginaliteit te laten bestaan. Zijn werk,schilderijen in acrylverf,munten uit door een sterke pinseelvoering en het gebruik van heldere intense kleuren waardoor elementaire beelden samenvloeien tot een boeiend geheel.

Michal Ashkenasi was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to Israel after World War II.She graduated from her art studies at Haifa University in 1983 and worked for several years with different artists. Ashkenasi moved to the Artist Colony in Sefad, Israel in 1990 and became a member. She is a member of the Israeli Association of Painters and Sculptors since 1987. From 1987 she did one-man shows almost every year in Israel and Europe, and participated in groups exhibitions as well. Many private art lovers all over the world have purchased her works. She currently works at her home in the center of Israel.Was accepted to the 'Salon Des Artistes Francais 2003' for the juried International Show in Paris, France ,where she received the Medaille de Bronze 2003 for her work and was awarded the Grande Medaille d'Or in the juried International Art Festival 2004 in Cannes , France.

Een detail daarin is dat bij elke verjaardag cadeautjes bestonden uit teken - en schildermaterialen. Mijn eerste olieverf kreeg ik op 12 jarige leeftijd van mijn vader (die ook schilderde), dit waren voor die tijd enorme tubes waar er nu nog enkele van in mijn bezit zijn, deze worden als schatten gekoesterd. In de loop der jaren heb ik mij door zelfstudie en opleidingen de nodige specifieke schilder en teken kennis eigen gemaakt. In Roosendaal bezocht ik het 'Centrum voor de Kunsten' onder leiding van beeldend kunstenares Helma Rovers waren dit plezierige en vooral ook leerzame jaren. Tussen fantasie en werkelijkheid Het combineren van fantasie en werkelijkheid, dit is het vertrekpunt van waaruit mijn schilderijen en tekeningen ontstaan. In een geheel eigen beeldtaal vol symboliek. Symbolen zoals het oog, het meest fascinerende symbool wat gebaseerd is op een menselijk zintuig. De buik zetel van het leven. Het ei universeel symbool van het mysterie van de schepping. De zee als oerbron van leven en water wat staat voor zuiverheid. Met deze symbolentaal breng ik mijn fantasie in beeld, realistisch geschilderd. Mijn schilderijen komen via een aloude techniek tot stand met een onderschildering en vele lagen transparante olieverf waarmee ik de glacistechniek toepas. Hierdoor ontstaat er een rijkdom aan kleuren wat zo opvallend is aan mijn werk. Statement Bezig zijn en blijven met het fantastische gegeven om tekenen en schilderen niet alleen zelf vorm te geven maar ook kennis over te dragen aan iedereen die zich creatief en kunstzinnig wil uiten. Het logo bestaat uit het hoofd van Adinda en Saíjah, twee geliefden uit het boek 'Max Havelaar' van Multatuli. De beeldjes die voor het logo zijn gebruikt staan in de kast boven de bar.
